OAKLAND TAKES ON DETROIT MERCY IN ANNUAL GIVING CHALLENGE
Show #NOMERCY against the Titans
ROCHESTER, Mich. -The third annual Oakland vs. Detroit Mercy Giving Challenge returns February 5--9. Detroit and Oakland each have a win under their belt entering the third year of the Giving Challenge competition. Oakland is looking to top last year's win by taking the tie-breaker in 2018, and we need your support to be victorious.
Alumni and fans have the power to help Oakland win. The challenge is all about the number of donors, not dollars. Your support will impact our current and future students at Oakland University, while directly benefiting the area you're most passionate about -- academics, programs or campus needs.
HOW TO KEEP SCORE
Gifts of $5 or more from alumni and friends of Oakland University made between 12:01 a.m. EST Monday, February 5, 2018 and 5 p.m. EST Friday, February 9, 2018. Donors can give to the fund designation of their choice at Oakland.
Only one gift per donor counts toward the Oakland vs. Detroit Mercy Giving Challenge.
HOW TO WIN
The winner is the university that tallies the most donors during the designated timeframe. The school with the most supporters by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 9 will win the challenge and bragging rights. An Oakland win will force Detroit Mercy's mascot to don an Oakland jersey at the men's basketball Metro Series game against Detroit Mercy that evening in the O'rena on Oakland's campus.
The winning institution will be announced during pre-game of the Oakland vs. Detroit Mercy men's basketball game on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 9 p.m. in the O'rena.
