OAKLAND NAMES JENNA MICHLIN DIRECTOR OF TICKETING AND OPERATIONS
Michlin comes to Oakland from the Detroit Red Wings
ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland has named Jenna Michlin Director of Ticketing and Operations announced by Deputy Athletics Director Padraic McMeel on Thursday. Michlin will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of athletic ticketing and group sales while also managing game-day ticketing staff, operational duties and processing of tickets.
”I am so excited to have Jenna join the Golden Grizzlies family," said McMeel. "Jenna brings a wealth of experience in group and individual game-day sales from the Detroit Red Wings as well as a couple of universities. I know that she will build on the game-day and ticketing experience we have grown over the last two years.”
Prior to Oakland, Michlin served three years as the Group Sales Account Executive for the Detroit Red Wings where she generated new business for group events, developed and orchestrated group events and worked with organizations in the Metro-Detroit area to grow sales. During her time she sold over $1 million in new business.
Before Detroit, Michlin worked as the Fan Development Coordinator for the New Jersey Devils where she worked with local and national business to grow sales, selling over $80,000 in new business for the 2013 season. Prior to New Jersey, she worked as a sales consultant for the University of Minnesota and Western Michigan University.
Michlin, a Farmington Hills, Mich. native, graduated from Michigan State in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and is currently working on her master’s degree in sports management at Wayne State.
In addition, Alex Mason has been named Assistant Director of Ticketing and Operations after previously serving as the Graduate Assistant.
