Tim Dameron Named Assistant AD for Marketing and Sponsorships
He was elevated from Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions.

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Tim Dameron has been elevated to the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Sponsorships, announced Oakland Director of Athletics Tracy Huth. Dameron will handle all sponsorship and advertising relationships for the department.
“Over the last year, Tim has shown a great passion and commitment to Oakland athletics and the betterment of our student-athletes,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Simon Dover. “Tim’s previous experience continues to benefit our department and we are excited to have him take the next step and lead our marketing and sponsorship initiatives.
Dameron joined the athletic staff in October 2011 as the Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions and made an immediate impact on in-game presentation for the Golden Grizzlies. Prior to arriving at Oakland, Dameron served for over a decade at The Palace of Auburn Hills as the Detroit Pistons Game Presentation Manager. He also worked with Coca-Cola enterprises and Hillsdale productions selling sponsorship at Freedom Hill before joining the Pistons.
