ROCHESTER, Mich. - With a focus on fan engagement and social media experiences, Oakland University Athletics has partnered with Postano to produce a social media hub on GoldenGrizzlies.com, as well as at basketball games inside the Athletics Center O'rena.

"Providing a first class game experience is a high priority for Oakland and our staff," said Director of Athletics Jeff Konya. "We had a tremendous student section on Wednesday night and it was great to see our new Flash Mob. Adding this social media platform on our website and at basketball games will only enhance what we are already implementing."

Fans can tweet@GoldenGrizzlies and see some of their tweets appear on GoldenGrizzlies.com. The social media hub will tie in Twitter, Instagram and YouTube videos. It will serve as a turnkey for Oakland fans to gather and discuss their favorite collegiate team.

"The power of social media can be found throughout intercollegiate athletics," said Senior Assistant Athletic Director for Public Relations Scott MacDonald. "By adding this platform to our fans, we are engaging their creativity and providing them a tool to show us their school spirit."

As mentioned at the Western Michigan basketball game, fans are encouraged to show Oakland how they #WearTheBear by using the hashtag. Selected fans will be shown on the state-of-the-art video board during a media timeout or halftime.
