Scott Collins has served many different roles for Oakland University and is currently working with the alumni of the cross country and track teams to help support the programs. He works closely with the head coach and development staff.

Prior to his latest role, Collins worked as the Varsity O Coordinator as part of the development staff. He was able to create a large database of alumni athletes and connecting them back to Oakland University. Collins designed different programs that welcomed former student-athletes at community and varsity events.

Collins worked at Oakland as an administrative assistant for the men's and women's cross country programs before joining the development team. He also serves on the Hollie L. Lepley Hall of Honor Committee, along with being a member of the Hall of Honor, inducted in 2007.

A former cross country standout, Collins garnered All-GLIAC honors in 1993 and '95 after posting top-seven finishes at the league championships. He went on to qualify for the NCAA Championships in each of those seasons and became just the second All-American in program history, posting a 17th-place finish at the 1995 NCAA Championships. He is a two-time all-region and all-league honoree.

Collins resides in Rochester Hills with his wife Patricia, and their two sons Nolan and Liam.
