AKRON, Ohio -- Paul Huch earned two first place finishes in the 100 freestyle and was a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay Sunday as the Oakland men's swimming and diving team took home a first place finish at the Zippy Invitational. Katie Colwell had a strong closing day becoming just the second female in Horizon League history to finish under 50.00 in the 100 freestyle (49.60) as the women's team finished fourth.

Huch's 100 freestyle first place finish (44.47) was the eighth fastest time in program history.

Ayrton Kasemets and Tarek Aboelthana had a strong showing in the 200 breast stroke finishing in first (2:01.48) and second (2:01.49) place respectively.

On the women's side, Holly Morren became the first woman to break 49.00 (48.90) in the 400 freestyle relay while anchoring the team. Colwell, Morren and Grace Shinske recorded NCAA B cut times in the 100 freestyle (49.60, 49.52) and 200 backstroke (1:58.42) respectively.

The Golden Grizzlies will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 13, when they host Kenyon at 2 p.m. at the Oakland Aquatic Center.
