GIRODAT BREAKS 60M SCHOOL RECORD AT HILLSDALE TUNE-UP

HILLSDALE, Mich. - Nicholas Girodat placed first in the 60m dash and broke his own school record in the event with a time of 6.75 at the Hillsdale Tune-Up on Saturday.

Katie Tewksbury placed third in pole vault (10 ft., 6.75 in.), Odette Ingall finished fifth in the 400m (1:01.75) and Elyssa Hofmann finished sixth in the 200m (26.11).

For the men, Joe Ghafari took first place in shot put (46 ft., 8 in.) and Kenton Rivard placed second (45 ft. 10 in.). Ghafari also placed fourth in weight throw (52 ft., 2.5 in.).

The men finished fourth with 37 points while the women finished seventh with 25 points.

The Golden Grizzlies return to competition on Feb. 25-26 at the Horizon League Indoor Championships in Youngstown, Ohio.

Weight throw: Mary Moore (4th, 49 ft., 1.75 in.), Nadia Lengel (6th, 42 ft., 6.75 in.)
