Day Two Results | Division I Only

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Serena San Cartier earned herself a victory in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.63, a time that ranks fifth in the league and third in school history. Ashley Burr was third in the steeplechase with a mark of 11:38.52, which puts her second in OU history.

It was a case of excellent performances all day by Oakland's women as Candice Mack was seventh in the 200m dash with a time of 12.47 and Courtney Stauffer was seventh in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.01. Miranda Haas took second in the 5,000m finishing with a mark of 18:13.75 and Katelynne Hartman finished runner-up in the shot put with a final distance of 42 feet, 4.25 inches.

For the men, Geoffrey Williston finished second in the 800m with a time of 1:55.40 while teammate Nathan Ziolko was fifth in the 5,000m in 15:17.17. Nick Bobek finished ninth in the finals of the 100m hurdles with a mark of 15.83 and Andrew Bowman won the steeplechase with a time of 9:38.50.

Day Two Results

COLUMBUS, Ohio - David Koponen ran a personal-best time of 1:53.75 in 800m for an eighth place finish at the Jesse Owens Invite. The time puts him first in the Horizon League and third in Oakland history. Aaron Davis ran a personal best in the 200m, finishing with a mark of 22.07 (24th place), which puts him third in school history.

"We brought a handful of guys down (to Columbus) to see how they stacked up against some of the best in the Midwest," commented assistant coach, J.P. Behnke. "They all raced very competitively and responded well to the challenge."

Oakland next competes at the Gina Relays April 24-26 at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich.
