LEXINGTON, Ky. -
Bryce Stroede punched his ticket to the 2017 NCAA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships finishing 12th in the 5000m with a time of 14:07.94 at the 2017 NCAA East Prelims held at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex on Saturday night. Stroede becomes just the second student-athlete in program history to qualify since Jason Bigelow who finished 11th in the 1500m in 2010.

Jacob Bowman also placed 29th with a time 14:41.26. 

The NCAA National Championships will be held on Wednesday through Saturday, June 7-10, at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
