ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland track and field team hosts the Golden Grizzly Invite at the Oakland Track & Field Complex. The meet begins on Friday, April 15 at 3 p.m. and resumes on Saturday, April 16 at 3 p.m.

Prior to competition on Saturday, the team will recognize the 2016 senior class, 2015 NCAA regional qualifiers and the 2015 Horizon League champion men’s and women’s cross country teams starting at 12 p.m.

Meet Notes:
Seniors Honored:
▪ Oakland will be honoring 10 seniors for their hard work and dedication to the program: Leigh Bravender, Morgan Bridgewater, Meghan Daly, Arnesha Jennings, Candice Mack, Tim Pfund, Cassie Peterson, Cady Pozolo, Chris Scott and Courtney Stauffer.

2015 NCAA Qualifier Recognition:
▪ Last season, Serena San Cartier, Gino Vitella, and Bryce Stroede qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championship Preliminaries which marked the first time in program history three student-athletes qualified during a single outdoor or indoor season.

2015 Cross Country Ring Ceremony:
▪ Members of the men’s and women’s cross country team will receive their 2015 Horizon League Championship rings. Oakland became just the fourth school in Horizon League history to have both the men’s and women’s cross country teams claim conference titles in the same season (Oct. 31). Rachel Levy was named Freshman of the Year while head coach Paul Rice was named Coach of the Year.

Last time out, Miami Alumni Invite Highlights:
Nicholas Girodat broke the 200m school record with a time of 21.37 to finish sixth out of 75 runners and also finished 17th at 10.74 in the 100m.
Aaron Davis set a 100m person best time of 10.71 to place 14th and finished 13th in 200m with a time of 21.52 while
