BRYCE STROEDE TO COMPETE AT NCAA OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN OREGON

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Bryce Stroede will run the 5000m on Friday, June 9 at 10:25 p.m. ET (7:25 p.m. PT) becoming just the second student-athlete in program history since Jason Bigelow in 2010 to compete at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Coverage of the event will be broadcast live on ESPN and the WatchESPN app beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Stroede's road to Eugene began at the Virginia Challenge (Apr. 21) where he qualified for 2017 NCAA East Preliminary Round with a 5000m school record time of 13:49.90 becoming the first student-athlete to quality for this event in consecutive seasons.

He went on to punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships finishing 12th in the 5000m with a time of 14:07.94 at the East Prelims held at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex in Lexington, Ky. (May 27).
