LEVY AND STROEDE CAPTURE INDIVIDUAL HORIZON LEAGUE TITLES

KENOSHA, Wisc. - Rachel Levy captured the women's 6K title with a time of 21:35.4 and Bryce Stroede captured the men's 8K title with a time of 25:01.3 at the Horizon League Championships on Saturday. The women's team repeated as league champions with 28 points, while the men finished fifth with 123 points.

Miranda Haas (21:54.6), Alana Koepf (22:07.4) and Ashley Burr (22:13.5) finished second, fourth and sixth, respectively. On the men's side, Connor Wuori (25:55.5) placed sixth.

Levy and Stroede were each named men's and women's Athlete of the Year. For the women, Levy, Haas, Koepf and Burr made the league's first team, while Stroede and Wuori made the first team for the men. Head coach Paul Rice was named Coach of the Year. 

Stroede becomes the second men's runner to win an individual league title, while Levy becomes the third women's runner to capture an individual league title in Oakland's Division I history.
