KENOSHA, Wis. - Nathan Ziolko earned First-Team All-Horizon League honors while Jacob Bowman, Karli Keur and Ashley Burr garnered Second Team All-Horizon League accolades at the HL Championships held on Saturday at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. Ziolko finished seventh in the 8K race with a time of 25.05 while Bowman placed ninth at 25:08 helping the men's team finish fourth with 77 points. Keur and Burr finished 11th and 12th respectively in the 6K race one second apart at 22:22 and 22:23 guiding the women's team to a third place finish with 89 points.

"Overall I think we all expected a little more from today. We matched last year's finishes, but probably ran better races this year," said head coach Paul Rice. "It's been a nice season for these athletes and some great experiences to build on. We have quite a few athletes that we were missing this fall that will come off redshirts and be back next fall. The future is bright and we look to be much improved next fall with such a great young group returning from this year"

Following today's results, Oakland and the University of Detroit Mercy still remain tied in the Metro Series standings driven by Trinity Transportation. The women's team earned two points by finishing third over UDM who placed fifth. However, UDM men's team earned two points by finishing first overall ahead of the Golden Grizzlies who placed fourth.
