Men's Results | Women's Results

MADISON, Wis. - First-Team All-Horizon League selection Nathan Ziolko and Ashley Burr, Second Team All-Horizon League, followed their strong conference championship performances with a solid showing at the 2014 NCAA Great Lakes Regional held Friday afternoon at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course. Ziolko finished the men's 10K race in 71st place out of 207 runners with a time of 31:47 while Burr ran the women's 6K at 21:53 to finish 86th out of 219 entries helping both teams finish 20th overall.

"I am extremely pleased with today's results. We talked about using this race to avenge losses from the Horizon League Championships two weeks ago," said head coach Paul Rice. "Today our women beat every team in the league. We know we could have done that two weeks ago but just didn't put it together that day so this feels really great for the women. The guys beat YSU today and they were one place ahead of us two weeks ago. That feels good as well. We got exactly what I hoped from today and now we can shift gears to indoors with some nice confidence. We had plans for today and it's nice to see plans work out. I am very proud of this group!!"

The men's team finished with 562 points placing three runners in the the top-115 while the women's team tallied 597 points with three runners in the top-120.

The 20th place finish for both teams was a good improvement over last season's NCAA Great Lakes Regional where the men's team finished 27th and the women's team placed 24th overall.
