OAKLAND CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS EARN USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

All-Academic Teams | Men and Women's Individual All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS -
For the twelfth consecutive season, the Oakland men's and women's cross country teams have earned All-Academic team honors selected by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2017 cross country season campaign. The men's team posted a 3.08 team GPA while the women earned a 3.42 GPA.

In total, 423 programs were recognized including 228 women's and 195 men's teams.

Andrew and Jacob Bowman have earned All-Academic individual honors.

Andrew Bowman, a redshirt senior from Marlette, Mich. carries a 3.46 GPA in environmental science and placed first in the CMU Short Course this season. He also placed fourth at the Horizon League Championships.

Jacob Bowman, also a redshirt senior from Marlette, carries a 3.39 GPA in environmental science and placed first at the Golden Grizzlies Open this season. He also placed second at the CMU Short Course and third at the Horizon League Championships.
