NASHVILLE -- Tyler Pagano went 3-for-5 with three RBIs plus scored two runs while Nick Parr picked up his first-career win tossing 5.1 innings allowing four earned runs and striking out a career-high seven batters as the Oakland baseball team picked up its first win of the season 16-11 over Lipscomb Sunday afternoon at Ken Dugan Field.
Zach Sterry got the offense going in the first inning with his second solo home run of the season. He knocked in two more runs with a sacrifice fly in the second and ninth innings to finish the series 5-for-9 with five RBIs and two home runs.
Mike McGee drove in four RBIs going 2-for-6 with a double and a run scored, while Myles Zilinsky went 3-for-5 with two RBIs scoring three runs and drawing one walk. Connor Fannon, Matt DiLeo and Tyler Janish each drove in one run to round out Oakland's scoring. The win also marked Jacke Healey and Colin Kaline's first win as head coaches. Oakland will continue its road stand with a two-game series at East Tennessee State Feb. 21-22.
