YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Nick Parr threw 5.0 innings allowing just two earned runs in the bottom of the third while striking out four batters as the Oakland baseball team edged Eastern Michigan 3-2 Tuesday afternoon at Oestrike Stadium.
The Golden Grizzlies got on the board in the top of the sixth inning trailing 2-0 as Emerson Misch doubled to right field driving in two runs to tie the game. Two batters later, Tyler Janish singled to right field to give Oakland the lead. Aaron Dehn came in to relieve Parr in the bottom of the sixth and tossed 3.2 scoreless innings allowing just two hits. Nate Schweers came in to retire the final batter and picked up his first save of the season. The Golden Grizzlies return to action tomorrow at Toledo for a 7:05 p.m. start time on ESPN3.
