OAKLAND WINS SLUGFEST TO TAKE SERIES AT NORTHERN KENTUCKY

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Ronnie Krsolovic hit a two-run home run and three-run double to spearhead a nine-run fourth inning while Mike McGee and Emerson Misch added a pair of RBI singles in the eighth as Oakland held off Northern Kentucky, 14-12, in a slugfest to take the series on Sunday. Austin Sherry picked up the win in relief going 3.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts.

Ben Hart continued to swing a hot bat in the series going 2-for-6 with four RBI with a three-run triple and RBI single. Myles Zilinsky also went 3-for-6 with a pair of RBI.

Oakland batted around in the ninth inning starting with Krsolovic's two-run shot followed by Hart's three-run triple and a RBI single from Zilinsky. Krsolovic capped the offense off with a three-run double to right field.

Oakland travels to Kalamazoo, Mich. for a non-conference game at Western Michigan on Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 3 p.m.
