ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Robby Enslen hit a home run and Jared Theisen went 1-for-3 with two RBIs as the Oakland baseball team (8-29) fell to Michigan (24-25-1), 7-4, Wednesday afternoon at Ray Fisher Stadium.

"We had them on the ropes early in the game but were not able to hold on," said coach John Musachio. "We have to continue to work and get better at the little details even late in the season. We have our final home series this weekend so we need to learn from our mistakes and build off of our successes."

Oakland would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning by combining to hit for the cycle. Enslen blasted an opposite field solo home run, his second of the season, Mike Brosseau singled, Zach Sterry doubled, and Jared Theisen would triple to drive home the final two runs of the inning.

Michigan took the lead in the second inning led by a Jacob Cronenworth RBI-double and a sacrifice fly by Carmen Benedetti to go up 4-3. After an hour and eight minute rain delay, the Wolverines would add to its lead on a two-run home run by Benedetti in the seventh inning to go up 7-3.

OU added its final run of the game in the ninth inning as Ian Yetsko reached base on an error and later scored on a single to the shortstop off the bat of Trent Pell.

Oakland finished the game with four runs on eight hits, while Michigan scored seven runs on 11 hits and committed one error.

The Golden Grizzlies will return home this weekend for the final home series of the season starting on Friday at 3 p.m. against Milwaukee at the OU Baseball Field.
