OAKLAND TRAVELS FOR MIDWEEK TILTS AT EASTERN MICHIGAN AND TOLEDO

ROCHESTER, Mich.
-- The Oakland baseball team embarks on a pair of midweek games against the Mid-American Conference Tuesday, March 28 at Eastern Michigan and Wednesday, March 28 at Toledo.

The Golden Grizzlies (2-18, 1-2 HL) won their Horizon League opener at Youngstown State last weekend before dropping a doubleheader to the Penguins to close out the series. Tyler Palm tossed another quality start, his fourth of the season, while Tyler Pagano hit .571 with two doubles and three RBIs in the series, including going a perfect 5-for-5 in game one.

The Eagles (6-16, 2-1 MAC) took two-of-three from Bowling Green in their MAC home opener that included right-handed pitcher Brad Allen throwing a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits in game one of the series.

The Rockets (5-18, 0-3 MAC) were swept by Northern Illinois last weekend after coming off a 10-4 win at Illinois on March 19. Outfielder AJ Montoya currently leads the Toledo offense with 17 RBIs, nine doubles while hitting .291.
