HOT SHOOTING LEADS OAKLAND TO 95-82 WIN OVER YOUNGSTOWN STATE

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Five players scored in double figures with Jalen Hayes recording his Horizon League best eighth double-double of the season scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated Youngstown State 95-82 Wednesday night at the O'rena.

Nick Daniels scored 16 points, shooting six of nine from the floor and four of six from beyond the arc. He also dished out a career high nine assists and committed just one turnover. Oakland is 6-0 when Daniels scores in double figures this season.

Kendrick Nunn led all scorers with 26 points on nine of 14 shooting and was six of 10 from the three-point line. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists.

Brailen Neely, who leads the conference in assists, handed out seven assists while scoring 11 points and Martez Walker scored 13 points and was four of five from the field and a perfect five of five from the charity stripe.

The Golden Grizzlies will remain home hosting Cleveland State Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. for Childhood Cancer Awareness Night.
