DETROIT -- Kendrick Nunn scored a career high 38 points on 12 of 26 shooting, including eight of 15 from beyond the arc as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated in-state rival Detroit Mercy 92-86 Saturday at Calihan Hall.

Nunn, who registered his eighth 30-point performance of the season, tied his career high with 12 field goals made and eight three-pointers. His 38 points is the third-most points scored against the Titans in their program’s history by an opposing player.

Martez Walker scored 18 points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out three assists and added two steals, while Jalen Hayes scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds plus dished out three assists.

Isaiah Brock was strong defensively, leading all players with 12 rebounds, his sixth double-figure rebound performance of the season. Oakland is 5-1 this season when he grabs 10 or more rebounds. The league's top shot blocker recorded five on the day.

With the win, the Golden Grizzlies have won five of the last six match-ups over the Titans, including the last three games inside Calihan Hall. Oakland is 7-2 against the Titans since joining the Horizon League in the 2013-14 season. It was also Oakland's 50th win in the Horizon League since joining five seasons ago.

The Golden Grizzlies will take their four-game winning streak to Northern Kentucky Friday, Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
