WINNING STREAK EXTENDS TO FIVE AS OAKLAND TAKES DOWN NKU 83-70

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- Kendrick Nunn scored 33 points, his third-straight 30-point performance and ninth of the season, as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated first-place Northern Kentucky on the road 83-70 Friday night at BB&T Arena.

The win gave Oakland its fifth consecutive win and fourth over the Norse in the last five matchups. It also gives the Black and Gold a perfect 3-0 record at BB&T Arena. The Golden Grizzlies have not lost a road game at NKU since 1981.

Jalen Hayes scored 21 points, 16 of which came in the second half, and grabbed seven rebounds. Martez Walker added 11 points and two steals.

Isaiah Brock led all players with 10 rebounds, his seventh double-figure rebound performance of the season. The Golden Grizzlies are 6-1 this season when Brock grabs 10 or more rebounds.

Brailen Neely, the conference's assist leader, dished out a game high seven assists on the day and added seven points.

Oakland will conclude its road trip Sunday Jan. 28 at Wright State. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
