ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Kendrick Nunn poured 21 of his 28 points in the second half while grabbing seven rebounds as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated rival Detroit Mercy 87-78 Friday night at the O'rena.

Jalen Hayes scored 19 points while grabbing six rebounds, plus two assists, one block and one steal. Hayes pulled down his 900th career rebound in the second half, he sits third all-time in career rebounds in Oakland history.

Nick Daniels scored 11 points and dished out seven assists as Oakland has now improved to 9-0 when Daniels scores in double figures this season.

Isaiah Brock added eight points, led Oakland with 10 rebounds and had two blocks.

In the second half, Oakland allowed just 33 points and forced the Titans to shoot 0-for-6 from the three-point line.

With the win, Oakland has now won six out of the last seven matchups against the Titans. Since joining the Horizon League in 2013, Oakland is 8-2 against the Titans and 5-1 all-time inside the O'rena.

The Black and Gold will hit the road for their final three road games starting with Youngstown State Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
