CLEVELAND -- Nick Daniels scored 14 points and grabbed a career high nine rebounds plus dished out four assists as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated Cleveland State 82-66 Friday night inside the Wolstein Center. The win was head coach Greg Kampe's 600th of his career, as he becomes the 15th active Division I coach to reach the milestone.
Jalen Hayes scored a game high 24 points on nine of 14 shooting from the floor while hauling in nine rebounds, and Chris Palombizio matched a career high with 10 points plus added two rebounds and two assist.
Isaiah Brock recorded his second-straight double double by scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He has recorded 10 double-figure rebound performances this season.
Kendrick Nunn scored 17 points, dished out six assists and grabbed two rebounds.
The Golden Grizzlies had five players score in double figures for the second time this season, with the other game coming against Youngstown State on Jan. 10.
The Golden Grizzlies dominated CSU on the boards, out-rebounding the Vikings 41-19.
Oakland will travel to IUPUI on Monday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. for its final road game of the season.
