OAKLAND ADVANCES TO SEMIFINALS OF MOTOR CITY MADNESS WITH 62-55 WIN OVER IUPUI

DETROIT -- Isaiah Brock scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and tied a season high six blocks as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated fifth seeded IUPUI 62-55 Sunday night at Little Caesars Arena in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament.

Kendrick Nunn scored a game high 18 points, recording five assists, two steals and two blocks, while Jalen Hayes scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Nick Daniels scored 13 points to record his seventh double figure performance in his last eight games. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists. Oakland is 12-2 when Daniels scores in double figures.

With a 56-55 lead, Brock tipped in a missed jumper to give Oakland a three point lead then recorded his sixth block of the game in the ensuing possession to help seal the win.

The win marked the first for the Golden Grizzlies in the Horizon League Tournament since 2014.

The fourth-seeded Golden Grizzlies will take on eighth-seeded Cleveland State tomorrow at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
