DETROIT -- Jalen Hayes recorded his 11th double-double of the season scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, plus went a perfect nine-for-nine from the free-throw line as the Oakland men's basketball team suffered a season-ending 44-43 loss to eighth seed Cleveland State Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Kendrick Nunn scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds as he and Hayes combined for 39 of Oakland's 43 points. Nunn finished the season with 777 points, the second-most scored in a single-season.
Isaiah Brock pulled down 13 rebounds and had five blocks.
Oakland shot a season low 25 percent from the floor while also scoring a season low 43 points.
The Golden Grizzlies finished the season with a 19-14 overall record, going 10-8 in league play and winning its first Horizon League tournament game since 2014.
