ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Kendrick Nunn scored 20 points and dished out five assists as the Oakland men’s basketball team defeated Rochester College 91-73 in exhibition play Thursday night at the O’rena. The 6-3 guard scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half, going 6-for-8 from the field and hitting three of four from behind the arc.
Also scoring in double figures was Martez Walker who added 16 points, going five of eight from the field while Brailen Neely notched 10 points, handing out seven assists and recording three steals. Freshmen James Beck scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds as he got the start for the Golden Grizzlies and newcomer Julius Palmer played 11 minutes, scoring 10 points and grabbing four rebounds in his debut.
Oakland will wrap up exhibition play Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. against Davenport live on ESPN3 and WDFN 1130-AM.
