TOLEDO, Ohio -- Martez Walker led all scorers with 29 points, going 8 of 15 from the floor and pulled down a career high eight rebounds as the Oakland men’s basketball team fell to Toledo (3-0) 87-74 Saturday night at Savage Arena.

Kendrick Nunn added 24 points, on 11 of 27 shooting while James Beck recorded his first career double-double for the Golden Grizzlies adding 11 points and 10 boards on the night, both career highs for Beck.

Saturday’s loss snaps Oakland’s six game win streak over a MAC opponent.

The Golden Grizzlies (2-1) will travel to Syracuse Monday, Nov. 20 to take on the Orange at 7 p.m. from the Carrier Dome. Monday’s game will be part of the Hoophall Miami Invitational.
