ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland (8-12, 3-3) hosts South Dakota (7-12, 3-4) in a Summit League men's basketball match-up this Saturday inside the Athletics Center O'rena. Game time is set for 6 p.m.

The Golden Grizzlies are playing at home for the second straight game for the first time this season. OU is 5-0 this year inside the O'rena and are scoring 85 points per game, while shooting 50 percent.

Oakland is 37-3 over its last 40 league games at home. The Golden Grizzlies are 2-0 all-time versus South Dakota, winning 101-83 last year in the O'rena.

Travis Bader made five 3-pointers last game and moved back into the top spot in the country with 78. Bader has reached double figures in 14 consecutive games and 19 of 20 this season.

Drew Valentine is coming off his best performance of the season. The senior forward tallied a career-high and O'rena record eight steals, adding a season-high 19 points and eight rebounds. Corey Petros posted his league-best fifth double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Oakland will continue its homestand with two more games next week versus IUPUI (6-15, 1-6) on Thursday night and Western Illinois (14-4, 6-1) for Homecoming next Saturday.

Oakland Holds Off South Dakota, 84-77
Reggie Hamilton scored 31 points and set the Summit League's single-season scoring record as Oakland defeated South Dakota 84-77 on Saturday night. Hamilton surpassed the mark of North Dakota State's Ben Woodside, who scored 766 points in 2008-09. Hamilton has 790. Travis Bader hit six of Oakland's 14 3-pointers and scored 21, while Drew Valentine had 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Golden Grizzlies (17-14, 11-7) have won five consecutive league games and finished third. Charlie Westbrook led the Coyotes (10-18, 5-13) with 21 points, finishing with 1,009 for his career. Trevor Gruis had 18 points and 14 rebounds, Louie Krogman scored 17 and Jordan Boots had 10.
