OAKLAND SET FOR HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL MEDIA DAY AT LITTLE CAESARS ARENA

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland men's and women's basketball coaches Greg Kampe and Jeff Tungate will participate in the 2017-18 Horizon League Basketball Media Day Friday, Oct. 6 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit from 12-4 p.m. ET.

All 20 of the league's men's and women's head basketball coaches will be available to members of the media throughout the day to discuss the upcoming season that will culminate with Motor City Madness, the Horizon League Men's and Women's Basketball Championships at Little Caesars Arena.

Kampe and the men's team are coming off a regular season conference championship that saw the Golden Grizzlies win 25 games, the second-most in program history, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.

Tungate and the women's program won 18 games in the 2016-17 season including a win over No. 21 Green Bay. Oakland finished in a third-place tie with a 12-6 league record which marked the first time the Golden Grizzlies won 12 Horizon League games since joining the conference in the 2013-14 season.
