BRECHTING INJURED IN PRESEASON PRACTICE
Oct. 20, 2017

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland’s Brad Brechting suffered a broken toe (fifth metatarsal) in his left foot and will undergo surgery on Oct. 23 announced by head coach Greg Kampe on Friday. He is expected to miss approximately 12 weeks.

“This is a big setback for our team,” said Kampe. “Brad’s size is difficult to replace and we were expecting a big year from him. Our goal is to get him healthy and back on the court this season as soon as possible.”

Brechting appeared in 31 games last season, starting in five contests and shot 53 percent from the floor while averaging 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He finished tied for 11th in the Horizon League in blocked shots per game with 0.7.
