ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men’s basketball team will conclude exhibition play Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. against Davenport live on ESPN3 and WDFN 1130-AM inside the O’rena.

Oakland took down Rochester College 91-73 on Nov. 2 and begins the regular season on Nov. 10 against Fort Wayne for Night of Champions, where Oakland student-athletes will be honored on the Blacktop during halftime.

NOTES

> This is the first meeting between the Golden Grizzlies and Panthers.

> Newcomers James Beck and Julius Palmer made their debut against Rochester College, scoring 10 points each.

> Kendrick Nunn has led Oakland in scoring the past two exhibition contests including a 40 point, 10 rebound and eight assist performance in his debut on Oct. 29 against Central Michigan.

> Greg Kampe enters his 34th season at the helm of Oakland's men's basketball program and was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame on Sept. 15, 2017. Among the 2017 class included Jalen Rose, Jim Leyland, Dennis Rodman and Andre Rison.

> For the first time as a member of the Horizon League, the Oakland men's basketball team was picked as the league favorite receiving 31 of 47 first-place votes in the league's preseason poll.

> Oakland landed the most players on the preseason all-league teams with Jalen Hayes and Martez Walker being named to the first team and Kendrick Nunn being selected to the second team.
