HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Chris Handy, Jacob Johnson and Marc Norton all carded a 74 (+2) for Oakland men's golf as the Golden Grizzlies moved to second place after day two of the Horizon League Championship, recording a 297 on Monday.
Oakland's 297 (+9) was the lowest score of the afternoon among competitors, and the only score under 300.
After 36 holes, Norton leads the way with a two-day score of 147 (+3) putting him in fifth place. Jake Kneen and Johnson are tied for sixth with a score of 149 (+5), while Chris Handy sits in 23rd place.
Heading into the third and final round tomorrow, Oakland sits two strokes behind first place Cleveland State (596/+20). The Golden Grizzlies will tee off tomorrow morning beginning at 9:10 a.m.
