AULT, JOHNSON NAMED TO HORIZON LEAGUE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland’s Daniel Ault and Jacob Johnson have been named to the Horizon League Academic All-League Team announced by the league office Wednesday.

Ault, a junior from Lansing Mich. boasts a team-best 3.96 GPA as a pre-business administration major. He has competed in 12 rounds during the 2017 season and recorded a third-round score of 72 at the CSU Invitational, lowest round of the season.

Johnson, a Lansing, Mich. native is a finance major and holds a 3.77 GPA. He has competed in all 26 rounds for the Golden Grizzlies this season and had a career weekend in his regular season tournament finale at the Rutherford Invitational hosted by Penn State. Johnson finished T4 carding a 214 (+1), which included a career-best round of 68.

Oakland will compete in the Horizon League Championship this weekend at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort (Par 72, 6,816 yards) in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
