OAKLAND'S SEASON ENDS TO WRIGHT STATE ON PENALTY KICKS

DAYTON, Ohio - Austin Ricci scored a late equalizing goal off a feed from Chase Jabbori in the 81st minute just 1:15 after Wright State took the lead as both teams played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw on Saturday night. However, WSU advanced to the Horizon League championship game on penalty kicks, 6-5. Liam McQueenie tied his career-high with seven saves.

Nick Strack, Alex Serwatka, Nebojsa Popovic, Jabbori and Ricci each scored on their penalty kick attempts followed by successful attempts by all WSU shooters to knot the score at 5-5. WSU keeper Joel Sundell then made a diving save off AJ Shaw setting the stage for AJ Patterson who scored to advance the Raiders.
