ROCHESTER, Mich. - Head men’s soccer coach Eric Pogue and University of Detroit Mercy head coach Nick Deren announced the inaugural I-75 Derby Alumni Cup game to kick off homecoming weekend on Friday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. on the soccer field within the Oakland track and field complex. There also will be a 30 year and older match at 6 p.m. prior to the Derby.
After the conclusion of the Derby, the Red Ox Tavern will be hosting an Oakland and Detroit Mercy men’s soccer alumni reception.
The Oakland men’s soccer team will host Dayton on Homecoming Saturday, September 24 at 3:30 p.m. in a rematch of the 2015 NCAA first round match in which the Flyers advanced past the Golden Grizzlies on penalty kicks. An Oakland soccer alumni tailgate will be held prior to the game in the parking structure starting at approximately 1 p.m.
