ROCHESTER, Mich. - Cierra Bond posted career-highs in points (25), field goals (9) and 3-pointers (6) while Taylor Jones added 11 points making her the 28th player in program history to score 1000 career points as Oakland secured a 79-53 ALS Awareness Game win over Northern Kentucky on Saturday. Taylor Gleason also dished out a season-high eight assists for the third time this season along with 10 points.
Defense and rebounding proved to be the difference as Oakland held NKU to just 26 percent shooting from the floor and 16 percent from 3-point range. On the glass, the Golden Grizzlies grabbed a season-high 54 rebounds with 23 offensive boards.
