DETROIT - Chloe Guingrich posted her first-career double-double scoring a career-high 12 points with 10 rebounds while Taylor Jones scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half to lead Oakland to a 85-74 Metro Series Driven by Trinity Transportation win over arch-rival Detroit Mercy on Monday night. With the win, the Golden Grizzlies completed the season series sweep over the Titans for the first time since the 2014 season.
Leah Somerfield recorded her team-best seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Taylor Gleason also poured in 17 points with four assist and four steals while Sha'Keya Graves added 15 points with four steals and three assists.
Defensively, Oakland had 12 steals leading to 26 points off 18 UDM turnovers.
Offensively, the Golden Grizzlies had a season-low seven turnovers and used a 14-4 second quarter run to tie the game at 30-30 and outscored the Titans 29-19 to take a 39-36 lead at the half and never looked back.
