MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Taylor Jones scored a team-high 23 points while Leah Somerfield recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Oakland women's basketball team dropped a hard fought defensive battle at Central Michigan in double overtime, 70-67 on Tuesday night. Hannah Little grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds with five steals.

The Golden Grizzlies used a 12-2 run down the stretch in the fourth quarter to take a one point lead and eventually force overtime along with another 8-0 run in the extra frame to push the game into a second. Back-to-back 3-point hoops by CMU's Cassie Breen moved the Chips ahead for good. Breen finished with 33 points.

Oakland returns home to the Blacktop at the O'rena against Concordia on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m.
