ROCHESTER, Mich.—Women’s basketball player Olivia Nash has been named Oakland's Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week of Jan. 11-Jan. 18 after averaging 26 points per game, 14 rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game against Northern Kentucky and Wright State.
Nash, a senior from Escanaba, Mich., recorded her 29th and 30th career double-double surpassing Sarah Judd for the most double-doubles in program history in the Division I era. Against Northern Kentucky, Nash scored 24 points while grabbing 14 rebounds and handing out four assist. Two days later, she scored a career-high 28 points against Wright State and recorded 14 rebounds and one assist.
The Golden Grizzlies (10-7, 2-4) are back in action as they travel to in-state rival Detroit Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1:00 p.m.
