INDIANAPOLIS - For the second consecutive season, Taylor Jones was selected Horizon League Sixth Player of the Year as voted on the by league's 10 head coaches, staff and announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Jones, a junior from Detroit, Mich., came off the bench this season ranking fourth on the team in scoring at 11.1 ppg which was 20th in the league. She scored in double figures 20 times with a season-high 20 points against Old Dominion (12/21). Jones scored 11 points against NKU (1/6) becoming the 28th player in program history to score 1000 career points.

Oakland enters the 2018 Little Caesars Motor City Madness Horizon League Championships as a No. 7 seed and will play No. 10 seed UIC at Little Caesars Arena on Friday, March 2 at 12 p.m.
