CHICAGO - The Oakland University women's basketball team (0-1) will look to even it's season record and it's record against Horizon League opponents on Monday night when it takes on Illinois - Chicago at 6 p.m. (EST).

Oakland dropped it's first game of the season in a tight contest with Detroit 58-53, while UIC downed Niagara 73-57. This is the first meeting between UIC and OU. Bethany Watterworth had 17 points to lead all players in the game at Detroit, while Sharise Calhoun was one rebound shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Brittany Carnago will be looking to continue her ascent towards becoming OU's all-time shot-blocking leader. She recently moved into fifth place with her 115th block. Despite a 4-7 record in season-opening games, the Golden Grizzlies are 8-3 in the second game of the season in the Division I era.
