ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team opens its second road swing of the season with an in-state showdown at Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast live from the Crisler Center on BTN Plus for paid subscribers.
Series History: Michigan leads the all-time series 7-4 after a 101-63 win in Ann Arbor last season. Oakland recorded a 74-68 road win in the prior meeting between the two schools on Dec. 28, 2004.
Last Time Out: Mercy Agwaniru grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds with four points, two assists, a steal and block while Leah Somerfield recorded a double-double with a game-high 16 points and 12 rebounds to spark Oakland's 67-59 win over Niagara on Sunday night.
Michigan enters the contest with a 2-1 record after a 74-49 setback at No. 5 Louisville (Nov. 16) and a pair of home wins over George Mason (Nov. 10) and Liberty (Nov. 12).
Big Ten Trio: This is the second consecutive season Oakland plays three opponents from the Big Ten Conference on the road. In addition to Michigan, the Golden Grizzlies traveled to Michigan State (Nov. 13) and Northwestern (Nov. 16). Last season, Oakland opened the 2016-17 campaign at Michigan followed by then No. 22 MSU and Indiana.
