ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team concludes its two-game home slate against UM-Dearborn on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. presented by the United State Marines. The game will be broadcast live from the Blacktop at the O'rena on ESPN3 with Brad Golder (play-by-play) and Reggie Butler (analyst) on the call.
Series History: Oakland is a perfect 21-0 all time against UM-Dearborn. In the last meeting, the Golden Grizzlies won 123-38 in front of the third-largest crowd in program history (2,011) on Nov. 13, 2015. Taylor Jones scored a game-high 23 points in her collegiate debut while Olivia Nash added nine points becoming the 27th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. Oakland’s 123 points was a then school record until the team eclipsed that mark scoring 126 points last season against Marygrove.
Defensive Force: The Golden Grizzlies lead the Horizon League in blocked shots (4.70) while Nikita Telesford ranks third individually (1.7). Oakland also ranks second in the league in steals per game (10.10).
Dropping Dimes: Taylor Gleason is tops in the league in assists (5.7) helping Oakland to a league lead in assists per game (15.60).
