ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland women’s golf team will head to Florida for the Motor City Cup Feb. 5-6 to open up its spring season.
The Golden Grizzlies are co-hosting the inaugural tournament with rival Detroit Mercy. League foe Cleveland State will also compete in the two-day tournament.
The teams will play a match-play competition over the two days at the Par 62, 6,020-yard Crooked Cat Golf Course in Winter Garden, Fla.
Oakland competed in four tournaments this fall including a first place finish at the Golden Grizzlies Invite hosted on Oakland’s home course.
