Oakland Places Seven on CollegeSportsMadness.com All-League List
Meghan Reynolds was tabbed as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland women's soccer team placed seven players on the Preseason All-Summit League team, which was released by CollegeSportsMadness.com on Monday. Meghan Reynolds and Kara Weber were picked as Summit League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, repsectively.

Reynolds and Weber led the way as Oakland had a league-high five first team selections. Also tabbed among the league's best heading into the year were, Serena San Cartier, Nicole DeLuca and Julianne Boyle. All five players earned All-Summit League honors last season.

Two other Golden Grizzlies were named to the preseason second team. Sophomore's Erin Ring and Katrina Stencel were tabbed for the team after delivering Summit League All-Freshman team performances last season.

Coming off a Summit League Championship run last season, the Golden Grizzlies were recently tabbed as favorites to win The Summit League in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Oakland will open the season on Friday at 7 p.m. with a match against Rochester College at the OU Soccer Field.
