ROCHESTER, Mich. - With three goals and one assist in two games, sophomore midfielder Deanna Colarossi has been named The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 5. It is the first time in her career that she has received the award.
Colarossi scored two goals with an assist in an 8-0 win over UMKC on Oct. 2. It was the first multiple goal game of her career. Colarossi also scored a goal in a 4-2 loss to Southern Utah on Oct. 4. This is the second straight week that an Oakland women's soccer player has earned player of the week honors. Shannon Coley was named Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 28.
Oakland hits the road for a pair of The Summit League games this weekend. The Grizzlies will play South Dakota State on Friday, Oct. 9 and North Dakota State on Sunday, Oct. 11. The games are scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively.
