ROCHESTER, Mich - Lauren Pletscher went 2-for-4 with a RBI double while Jamie Squires hit 2-for-3 with a run as Oakland fell 4-2 to a late Toledo rally in home opening action on Wednesday afternoon at the Oakland Softball Field.

Erin Kownacki got the no decision going 4.0 innings allowing only one hit and a run off a sacrifice fly with two strikeouts. Haley Zemmer picked up the loss with two strikeouts.

After Kelsie Swanson drew a bases loaded walk giving Oakland (17-19) a 1-0-lead with no outs, the Golden Grizzlies could not capitalize on the situation leaving three runners stranded in the first and again in the second inning.

Pletscher's double in the fifth scored Squires to break a 1-1 tie. Toledo responded with a two-run single in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead and added a late insurance run in the seventh off a single and three-base fielding error to secure the come from behind win.

Oakland resumes league play at Valparaiso beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, April 28th at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. ET.
