DAYTON, Ohio-- The Oakland tennis team (1-13) will play a non-league match at Wright State (7-9) on Friday. It will be the team's final match before playing the season-ending Summit League cluster in Indianapolis.
"Wright State is a really good team with a lot of depth," said head coach Heather Redshaw. "We've had team meetings about what we need to do. If that all comes together then we can do well."
Oakland is coming off it's first set of league matches at a Summit League tennis cluster in Fort Wayne, Ind. Caitlin Young and Brittany Baxter won their No. 2 doubles match in the team's final match of the weekend against South Dakota.
The Golden Grizzlies are 1-1 against teams from the Horizon League. After falling 7-0 to Cleveland State, OU rallied to beat Youngstown State 4-3. The Lady Raiders are 2-1 in Horizon League matches, and also have wins over IUPUI and IPFW of The Summit League.
